Bangin Buffalo Cauliflower Wings

Game day called — it wants these BANGIN buffalo cauliflower wings. Double-dipped, fried shatteringly crisp, and tossed in a buttery Frank's RedHot glaze with a whisper of vegan Worcestershire, these are the vegan buffalo wings that silence a room.

That bottle of hot sauce sitting in your pantry finally has a purpose. Serve with vegan ranch and watch them disappear before kickoff.

Directions

  1. Combine the almond milk and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl and set aside for 10 minutes to curdle. After 10 minutes, stir in 1/4 cup of the hot sauce.
  2. Make the buffalo sauce: melt the vegan butter in a medium saucepan, then whisk in the remaining hot sauce, vegan Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Mix well and remove from the heat until ready to use.
  3. Heat 2–3 cups of oil in a deep pan over medium heat (amount depends on your pan size).
  4. While the oil heats, combine the flour and cornstarch in a large bowl. Add the spice blend and stir well.
  5. Rinse the cauliflower and cut it into florets, then pat dry. Dip each floret into the milk mixture, then the flour mixture — then repeat for a double coating, keeping one hand for wet and one hand for dry. Fry the florets one at a time, without overcrowding the pan.
  6. Fry until all sides are golden brown. Transfer to a paper towel–lined plate to drain excess oil.
  7. Toss the fried cauliflower with the buffalo sauce in a large bowl until coated. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce — vegan ranch goes perfectly with this dish!
