Prep and cook times are estimates — every kitchen moves at its own pace. Makes about 4 cups. Best enjoyed fresh.

Carrot, Orange & Pineapple Juice

Three ingredients, one juicer, zero regrets. This is the juice Carlos calls the best he's ever made — sweet pineapple, bright orange, and earthy carrot in the sunniest glass you'll pour all fall. It almost tastes like punch, and it takes about ten minutes.

No juicer? A high-speed blender works too: blend everything with a splash of water and strain through a nut milk bag or fine-mesh sieve.

Directions

  1. Prep the produce: scrub the carrots and trim the ends. Peel the oranges, leaving as much of the juicy flesh intact as you can. Slice the skin off the pineapple, cut out the tough core, and cut the flesh into spears that fit your juicer's chute.
  2. Juice everything: run the carrots, oranges, and pineapple through the juicer, alternating hard and soft pieces to keep things moving smoothly.
  3. Serve: give the juice a good stir and pour over ice. It's at its absolute best in the first 30 minutes, so drink up.
  4. Store: keeps up to 24 hours in a sealed jar in the fridge — shake before pouring. But fresh is the whole point of this one.
